Improving Students' Vocabulary Mastery Through ESA Method at MTS Negeri I Banggai. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk. Supervisor Destiani Nggolaon, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims at knowing whether the ESA method can improve students' vocabulary mastery at the eight grade of MTS Neger 1 Banggai. This research was focused on improving students' vocabulary mastery through ESA method. It was conducted in two classes at MTS Neger 1 Banggai. With a total population of 264 students, the sample in this research amounted 70 students, class A as a experiemtal class with 35 students and B as a control class with 35 students. Quasi-experimental as a research design in this research The main instruments used get data in this study is test. The test was consisted of pre-test and post-test. The result of this research show that the t-counted was 10.16 was higher than t-table 1.66. By applying the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom 68. The hypothesis of this study is accepted. It means that The ESA method is effective to improve students vocabulary mastery in Class VIII A at MTS Neger 1 Banggai.
