Teaching Writing Using Short Video in Narrative Text at SMP Neger I Tinangkung, skripsi. English Education Study Programme, Faculty Muhamadiyah University of Luwuk. Supervisor: Desriani Nggolaon, S.Pd., M.Pd. Co-Supervisor: Yusniati N Sabata, S.S., M.Hum. This study aims to determine whether using short videos on narrative texts can improve the writing skills of eighth graders at SMP Neger 1 Tinangkung. This research was conducted in two classes at SMP Neger 1 Tinangkung. The sample on this study are 53 students. They divided into 28 students in the experimental class and 25 students of control class. quasi-experimental as a research design in this study. The instrument used for collect data in this study was a test. The test consists of pretest and posttest. The results showed that the t-test of 3.314 was higher than the t-table of 1.675. with a significance level of 0.05 with a degree of freedom 51. This research hypothesis is accepted. It means short videos can improve the writing skills of eighth graders at SMP Neger 1 Tinangkung.
