The Effect of Using Audio Visual Aids on Students Listening Comprehension. English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah Luwuk University, supervisor Abdul Rabbi Arrasul, S.Pd., M.Pd and Co-Supervisor Desriani Nggolaon, S.Pd., M.Pd. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of using Audio Visual Aids on students' listening comprehension. This study used a quantitative method. Using a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design. The research population was the ninth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Banggai Utara. The sample of this research were class IXA as experimental class that consisted of 23 students and class IXB as control class that consisted of 22 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used test. The test consistence a pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed statistically. After analyzed, the result of the t-counted is 2.667. With degree of freedom 43, and the level of significance 0.05, the t-table is 1.681. Therefore, the result of t-counted was higher than t-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research was accepted. It can be concluded that the effect of using audio visual aids can improve the students' listening comprehension in the ninth grade of SMP Negeri 1 Banggai Utara.
