Enhancing Students' Reading Comprehension By Narrative Text At Ninth Grade Of SMP Cokroaminoto Luwuk. Undergraduate Thesis English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk. Supervisors are Mukmin S.Pd., M.Pd, and Nurhaida Lakuana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to determine the improvement of reading comprehension skills through narrative text in grade IX students at SMP Cokroaminoto Luwuk. To find out whether the method is successful or not. Researcher used quantitative research and was applied to the ninth grade. The study was conducted 8 times and the treatment was carried out 6 times. Researcher analyzed the data statistically. In the pretest, the average score of students when taking the pre-test was 32.73. The average post-test score that students get is 78.46. The researcher found that the t-counted was 9.03 and the t-table was 1.771. Here it can be seen that the t-test is USAMI greater than the t-table. That shows narrative text especially, folklore can improve students' reading comprehension in ninth grade.
