Analysis of Students' Problem-Solving Ablities in Learning English Structure. Undergraduate Thesis, English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Luwuk. Supervised by Ma'am Mukmin and Ma'am Nurhaida Lakuana. Describing students' problem-solving abilities in learning English structure is the goal of this research. Polya's theory was used by the researcher to observe how students solve problems in order to aid in the analyzing of their problem-solving abilities. This research employed a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design. The methods used in this research to acquire data are tests and interview. Students of English Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk for the academic year 2022 who have taken English Structure course and Structure for Proficiency course as this research's subject. Based on the research's findings, it was found that students who have low level of cognitive ability in learning English Structure showed that they also have poor problem-solving abilities. This is evident from the achievements obtained by the subjects at each stage according to Polya's theory that they went through, where it was found that they did not understand the questions, had difficulty in planning and determining strategies for solving the questions, and were less able to re-check the correctness of the entire process and results of solving the questions they had done. There are new findings related to other indicators that cause low problem-solving abilities in students, namely the lack of encouragement from students.
