Using Youtube to Improve Students' Writing Ability. English Education Study Program, Teacher Training And Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk. Under the guidance of Mukmin, S.Pd., M.Pd and ST. Marhana Rullu, S.Pd.I., M.Pd This research objective is to know the improvement of students' ability in writing descriptive text by using YouTube. This research was conducted at the first grade of SMAN 3 Bunta. It was done on August 2021 untill September 2021. This research was a quantitative research. The subject of the research is 29 students of Class X MIA SMAN 3 Bunta. Writing test was used as the instrument. The test contained Pre-test and post-test to find the research data. The instrument was given to find out how far the students writing ability before and after the treatment. The result of this research showed that the t-counted is 5.825. Therefore, t-table with the value one tail significance was 0.05. It was found that t-table is 1.701. It shows that t-counted higher than t-table. In other words, there is significant improvement on students' writing ability after the using of YouTube. Therefore, the hypothesis of this research was accepted. The mean score of pre-test was 53.17 and the mean of posttest was 68.31. It means that the students' mean score was improved 15.14. From the result, the researcher concluded that using YouTube can improve the students° ability in writing descriptive text at SMAN 3 Bunta.
