Improving Students' Vocabulary through Extensive Reading Activities at the Eleventh Grade Students of SMAS GKI.B Luwuk. Sabata and Co-Supervisor Nurhaida Lakuana The objective of this research was to answer whether using extensive reading activities can improve student vocabulary at the eleventh grade of SMAS GKLB Luwuk or not The researcher applied pre-experimental research with one group pre-test-post-test design the research population was the eleventh grade students of SMAS GKLB Luwuk. The sample of this research was all of students at eleventh grade that consisted 18 students. The data were analyzed statistically.
Having analyzed the researcher found that the results of the students' pre-test (29.72) and post-test (83.33), while the results of the t-counted (17.290) was Higher Then t-table (1.745) by applying 0.05 level significance and degree of freedom 16. The results indicate that the use of extensive reading activities is effective to improve the students vocabulary at the eleventh grade of SMAS GKLB Luwuk.
