The Use of Reading Aloud Technique In Improving Students' Reading Comprehension at SMP N 2 Bunta. Skripsi. English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Supervisor Yuliana Mangendre, S.Pd., M.Pd The purpose of this research was to find out or not the use of reading aloud technique can improve reading comprehension of eight grade students at SMP N 2 Bunta. This research used a quasi-experimental research that required a pre-test and post-test for both groups. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Bunta. The sample of this research was class eight A as an experimental class consisting of 25 students and eight B as a control class consisting of 25 students. In collecting data, researcher used test. The test consist of pre-test and post-test. The results of the pretest in the experimental class were 42.32 and the posttest was 63.44, while the pretest in the control class was 33.48 and the posttest was 34.56. Data were analyzed statically. After analyzing it, the t-counted results are 9,543, with 48 degrees of freedom and a significance level of 0.05, then the t-table is 2.010. The result of t-counted is greater than t-table. It can be interpreted that the hypothesis in this research can be accepted. The results of the research indicate that there is a significant in using aloud reading techniques to improve students' reading comprehension in eighth grade students at SMP N 2 Bunta.
