Supervisor Abdul Rabbi Arrasul, S.Pd., M.Pd. The purpose of this study was to determine whether using power point media could improve students' reading comprehension. This study used a quasi-experimental study that required a pre-test and a post-test for both groups. The study population was the students of class VIII E as an experimental class consisting of 38 students and class VIII C as a control class consisting of 40 students. In collecting data, the lamp uses a test. The test consists of a pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed statistically. The mean score of pretest in experimental class was 30.92 while for the control class was 34.63. The mean score of posttest in experimental class was 61.58 while for the control class was 36.37. After analysis, the t-counted result was 25.69. with 76 degrees of freedom and a significance level of 0.05, the t-table is 1.66515. Therefore the t-counted result is higher than the t-table. That is, the hypothesis of this study can be accepted. The results showed that there was a significant effect in using Power points to improve students' reading comprehension.
