Thesis, English Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Luwuk. Mentored by: Hardianti and Abdul Rabbi Arrasul. A narrative text is a piece of writing to segment an event or story into paragraphs that are written in this manner. Serial picture media is a collection of photographs that introduces or presents the content of each image conversationally. Students can strengthen their narrative essay writing abilities through serial picture media. This study intends to determine whether or not using a series of picture media can enhance students' comprehension of narrative texts. The pre-experimental design was adopted in this investigation. The dependent variable in this study is students' comprehension of studying narrative texts, while the independent variable is the series of visual media. Twelve grade VIII students from SMP Negeri 4 Bulagi Utara made up the study's population. Total sampling is the sampling method used, which means that samples from all populations are used. Tests, divided into a pre-test and a post-test, serve as the study's primary instrument. Tests, divided into a pre-test and a post-test, serve as the primary instrument in this study. Statistical calculations were used in the data analysis for this investigation. The average pre-test and post-test scores in this study were 75.59 and 85.83, respectively. For the hypothesis test, the t-count value was 6.919, the t-table for 11 df, and the significant level of 0.05 was 1.795. That theory has been adopted. Because the drawing series has increased students' understanding of narrative texts, this hypothesis is acceptable.
