"Teacher's Lesson Plan Toward English Learning Activity in First Semester at SMPN 4 Liang" Undergraduate Thesis, English Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk, Supervised By: Hardanti and ST Marhana Rullu. The aim of this study was to find out the extent to which the benefits of teacher lesson plan for student activities in learning English in grade eight of SMPN 4 Liang. This study uses a qualitative, method. The subjects of this study were English teacher and student activity that occured in the classroom. Data from this study were taken through interviews, observation checklist and documentation on the teacher's lesson plan. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's lesson plan component contains student activities that will be carried out in the classroom in accordance with learning objectives based on the data obtained which support the theory of Gustiyansyah, et al (2020),teacher's lesson plan contains material that has been prepared then planning student activities in the classroom so that it makes it easier for students during learning. lesson plan as a guideline in teaching and learning that supports the theory of Irnia (2020), the components of the teacher's lesson plan include core competencies, basic competencies, learning objectives and others. then the objectives of learning according to the theory of Richard and Roger(2001:20) include learning objective, class procedures, class techniques and others. In Addition researchers found differences in the theory by Nurrayidah (2017) in she research, researchers found fact about differences that occurres in the classroom in student activities carried out in accordance with learning objectives and in accordance with learning material. The result of this study indicate that with the existence of a lesson plan, teachers can create learning activities that can be followed by students actively, teachers can provide teaching materials and also media that support learning objectives. To the school to pay more attention to the needs of teachers through learning facilities and infrastructure, especially teaching materials, to make it easier for teachers to carry out learning activities in the classroom.
