An Analysis of Teachers Pedagogic Compelence in Teaching English for Young Learners at MTs. N 1 Banggai. Undergraduate Thesis. The main objective of this study was to determine the pedagogic competence of teachers in teaching English to young students at MTs.N.1 Banggai. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. The research focused on the first graders of MTs.N 1 Banggai, and the subject of this research was one of the English teachers at MTs.N 1 Banggai. The data for this study came from a checklist of observations and interviews. The data collected from the checklist observation data and interviews aimed to analyze the pedagogic competence of teachers in teaching English to young learners. Based on the researcher's findings, it was found that there were seven pedagogical aspects that the researcher found when the teacher started teaching at MTs.N 1 Banggai in the first grade of junior high school. Teachers are able to handle differences in student characteristics, understand the learning theory and principles of teaching and learning, use a curriculum that is in accordance with government regulations, can teach learning materials well, are able to develop student potential, have a fairly good way of communicating, and can conduct assessments and evaluations of learning well.
