Enhancing Students' English Vocabulary Mastery Using Crossword Puzzles at MTs Neger 1 Banggai. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty. This study aims at knowing whether the Crossword Puzzles media can enhance students' vocabulary mastery at the eight grade of MTs Neger 1 Banggai. This study was focused on enhancing students' vocabulary mastery using Crossword Puzzles. It was conducted in two classes at MTs Neger 1 Banggai, class F as an experimental class and D as a control class. The main instruments used to get data in this study is test. The test was consisted of pre-test and post-test. The result of this research show there is a significant improvement on the students' vocabulary mastery. It can be shown by the mean score of Experimental in pretest 35.13 raised to 68.421 in posttest, while in control class the improvement is not significant from the pretest 35.37 to the posttest 38.22. By applying the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom 76, the t-counted 15.462 is higher than t-table 1.665. The hypothesis of this study is accepted. It means that the t-counted was 15.462 was higher than t-table 1.665. It means that Crossword Puzzles is effective to improve students' vocabulary mastery in Class VIII F at MTs Negeri 1 Banggai.
