This study conducted face-to-face interviews. The participants of this study were 16 students of class XII C SMAN 1 Luwuk. From the results of student interviews, students have difficulty translating material in English language learning, therefore students often use Google Translate as a tool in translating material in English language learning. The conclusion of the study based on the data obtained is that Google Translate has limitations in terms of accuracy, but Google Translate remains an effective and useful tool for students learning English or in translating both in terms of facilitating understanding of the material and increasing student learning motivation. To reduce students' reliance on Google Translate, students need to be encouraged to improve their understanding and grammar skills through independent study, regularly reading English texts, and practicing communicating in real situations.
