Integration of Banggai Local Culture in English Learning at SMP Negeri I Bulagi Utara. Marhana Rullu and Nurhaida Lakuana. The aim of this research is to explore about integration of Banggai local culture in English learning at SMP Negeri 1 Bulagi Utara. This research used a qualitative method. The subject of this research was the English teacher at SIMP Neger 1 Bulagi Utara. The researcher in this research used theory from Goldberg, (2000) to be his main theory. Data from this research was collected through interview and checklist observations. The result shows that the Banggai local culture integrated in several ways: First, Banggai culture is integrated without being related to the topic of the lesson such as instilling the values of customs, manners, and Montolutusan culture. Second, The Banggai local culture is related to English topics such as using traditional food, Banggai language, and linking foreign and local cultures. Third, teacher designs tasks that are relevant to the Banggai local culture. Furthermore, the elements of Banggai local culture that are integrated into English learning at SMP Negeri 1 Bulagi Utara are customs, manners, Montolutusan culture, traditional food, and the Banggai local language.
