An Investigation of Students' Difficulties in Time (Hour) in English. Undergraduate Thesis, English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk Banggai. Supervised By: Desriani Nggolaon and Mukmin. In English specifically mentioning time (hour), there are two forms or ways, namely formal and informal. Mentioning time (hour) formally in English begins by mentioning the minutes first then the hour, while informally it begins by mentioning the hour and then the minutes. This research aims to find out the difficulties and causes that cause students to have difficulty in mentioning time (hour) in English. This research used a qualitative approach as a research method. The subjects of this research were 8 students who were grade VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bokan Kepulauan, Kabupaten Banggai Laut. This research is based on Harris's theory about the difficulties experienced by students in mentioning time (hour) in English. In this research to find the data, the researcher conducted interview with class VII. As a result of this research, the researcher found that there were problem experienced by students in mentioning time (hour) in English which causes students to experience difficulties when mentioning time (hour) in English both in formal and informal forms that support Harris's theory, especially in the first point, namely identifying the hour hand and understanding the meaning of at, after, and before the numbers. In addition, the result of this research have new difficulties which are new findings and enrich the theory used.
