"The Effectiveness of Vocabulary Learning Trough Quizlet in English Language Education" . English Education Study Program, under the supervision Hardianti and Abdul Rabbi Arrasul The objective of the research is to find out wether the application Quizlet is effective in increasing students' vocabulary mastery. The method used to conduct the research was quasi-experiment. The populations were 40 students of eight grade at SMPN 1 Luwuk Timur. The sample was chosen by total sampling, it considered of two classes: 20 students for experimental class (VIII A) and 20 students for control class (VIII B). The research was implemented for six meeting. In the beginning, the researcher gave the pre-test gor both of classes. Then the experimental class was treated by Quizlet application during five meetings treatment period while the control class was treated by the conventional way without Quizlet application. After all treatments had been implemented, the researcher gave the post-test for both of classes consisted of twenty multiple-choice questions which was same amount with the pre-test. The result the average scores resulted from vocabulary tests showed more significant increase after the application of Quizlet was being implemented in the experimental class (pretest: 27.75 and post-test: 67.5) than the control class (pre-test: 28.0 and post-test 62.5) in addition the value of t-test was 2.2182 and the value of t-table was 1.6860 by using degree significance 5% (0.05). It means that t-test is higher than t-table (2.2182>1.6860) so that the Ha (Alternative Hypothesis) was accepted and HO (Null Hypothesis was rejected. Hence, it can be concluded that Quizlet application has a significant effectiveness in increasing students' vocabulary mastery.
