Students get enough opportunities to learn to practice, and get opportunity to use English freely. The instrument used in this study was an oral test which was divided into a pre-test and a post-test. The results showed that the average score of the pre-test was 37,57, and the average score of the post-test was 54,28. It means that there is a significant difference in the development of students English pronunciation skills through the Audio Lingual Method. The calculation results using the t-test formula degrees of freedom (df) 14 - 1 = 13. And the t-counting results are higher than t-table (12,39 > 1.771). This shows that the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected. In conclusion, the Audio Lingual Method is effective in developing the English pronunciation skills of sixth grade students at SDN Inpres Toropot.
