The Use of Series Pictures in Improving Writing Ability of the Ninth Grade Students at MIs Alkhairaat Nambo. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The objective of this research is to determine whether using series pictures could improve students writing ability at MTs Alkahiraat Nambo. The research applied classroom action research. It was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. The subject of this research were 12 students of ninth grade. The data were qualitative and quantitative. The data qualitative were obtained through an observations checklist of the students and researcher as a english teacher. While, the quantitative data were obtained from tests (pre-test and post-test). It was found that the students writing mean score in pre-test was 60.08 to 69.08 in post-test I. in post-test II the students mean score was 75.83 which proved that the use of series pictures can improve the writing ability of the ninth grade students at Ms Alkhairaat Nambo.
