Adapting Taboo Game in Improving Students' Vocabulary. Undergraduate Thesis, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah Luwuk University. Supervised by Hardianti and Yuliana Mangendre. The aims of this research are to find out whether by using taboo game can improve students' vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 6 Luwuk. This research used quantitative method. The population of this research was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Luwuk, totaling 64 students consisting of three classes, while the research sample took students in class VIII C, totaling 22 students. The researcher used 20 multiple choice test as the instrument to get the data which was given at pretest and posttest. the mean score of pretest was 70,2 and the mean score of posttest 75,6. And the last computation of this research shows that the t-counted was (5,09) was greater than the t table (1,72) with degree of freedom 22 and the level significant 0,05. It means that Ho rejected and Ha accepted. It indicates that the taboo game can improve the students vocabulary.
