Investigation the Eighth Grade Students' Interest in Learning English at SMP Neger 4 Totikum. Skripsi, English Education Study Program Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muhammadiyah Luwuk University. Supervisor: Yusniati N. Sabata, S.S, M.Hum Investigation students' interest in learning english in order the researcher would know about their interest and their problem in learning english. In this research, the researcher just focus to students' interest in learning english at SMP Negeri 4 Totikum. The researcher uses qualitative research to find out the interest of the students majored in the eighth grade student at SMP Negeri 4 Totikum. The researcher choose SMP Neger 4 Totikum as a subject of the research because, the researcher feel the eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Totikum was a good students and care about knowledge. The researcher used interview to collect the data because, it was the real situation of students feeling about learning english. In this research, the researcher would do an interview to the eighth grade students' interest at SMP Neger 4 Totikum. The researcher made a simple question in order to the students easy to understand what the researcher means to them. After the researcher gave questions to the students the researcher would know about the students interest through their answers. Based on the reseacher interview and observe the students' interest in learning english the students like to learning english less than students like did not like learning english so, the students* interest in learning english at SMP Negeri 4 Totikum was low.
