The Effect of OmeTV on Speaking Skill. Undergraduate Thesis. English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. Supervised by Desriani Nggolaon and Sitti Hardianti. OmeTV is a video chat application where all users can communicate with each other by using VPN assistance to connect to the destination country to improve English speaking skill. This research aims to determine the effect of OmeTV on speaking skill to fourth semester students who have actively used OmeTV of the English Education Study Program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. This research used descriptive qualitative method with phenomenon aproach. The subjects of this study were 5 active students of the English Education Study Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk, which were selected by purposive sampling. To collect data, the researcher conducted interviews and recorded sound and took photos using a handphone. As a result of this research, the researcher found the effects of OmeTV on students' English-speaking skill includes offering attractive features for communication, promoting cultural interaction, improving interpersonal communication abilities and introducing exciting experiences. The effect is that students can learn and practice their English skills such as speaking skill. Therefore, students can use this as a means to learn and practice English skills.
