Students' Difficulties in Using Irregular Verb. Undergraduated Thesis, English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. This study aims to determine the types of errors and factors that cause difficulties in using irregular verbs among second semester students of English Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, with the research subjects being English Education second semester students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. The data collection techniques used were documentation and interview, with the qualitative data analysis process, namely: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results showed that the most dominant error in the use of Irregular Verbs was omission, while addition and misformation were not found in the students' writing. However, interviews revealed that there are still misconceptions, especially the tendency to add the -ed ending to all verbs. The main factors causing this difficulty are mother tongue interference, overgeneralization and the influence of teaching methods.
