The Role of Canva Video In Improving Writing Skills By Students English Education Study Program Of University Muhammadiyah Luwuk. Undergraduated Thesis, English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk. Supervised by: Abdul Rabbi Arasul and ST. Marhana Rullu. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Canva video as a learning media to determine whether the Canva Video teaching media can overcome students' learning problems in learning writing. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and a post-test. The study subjects were grade XI students at SMA Neger 1 Luwuk, divided into experimental and control classes, each consisting of 29 students. The writing products in this research were hortatory exposition text. The experimental class received treatment using a Canva video, while the control class was taught using a PowerPoint slide. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test, then analyzed using the paired sample t-test. The result showed a significant improvement in the writing ability of students in the experimental class compared to the control class. This is because in the paired sample t-test for the pre-test and post-test of the experimental class showed a sig. (2-tailed) of (0.000 < 0.05), which confirmed a significant increase in students hortatory text writing skills after using Canva video as a learning media. The average post-test score increased by 25,690 compared to the pre-test score, which indicates its effectiveness. Therefore, the use of Canva video is proven to be effective as a learning media for improving students' writing skills. This research implies that the use of Canva video is an effective learning media and should be considered by educators to improve students' writing skills, especially in the context of writing hortatory exposition texts.
